Industrial heritage. A multifaceted approach

The book, intitled: “Industrial Heritage: A Multifaceted Approach”, was developed with the aim of highlighting the complexity of industrial heritage by referring to the multiple discourses associated with it. The contribution of this book in outlining the complexity of industrial heritage is reflected by the diversity of themes (evaluation of patrimonial values, colonial discourse, conservation and adaptive reuse, models of cultural and tourism capitalization that meet the requirements of sustainable development). The importance of this book also results from the diversity of case studies that refer to different types of industrial heritage (workers' homes, railway heritage, port areas, food industry units, wine complexes, industrial heritage collections included in technical or living museums), located in different countries (Argentina, Brazil, China, Croatia, Egypt, Republic of Moldova, Portugal and Romania). The variety of approaches to industrial heritage integrated in this book will be of interest from the scientific point of view and the territorial planning practices, both for researchers from different fields and for the interested parties.
