In the history of mankind the clay jar was one of those artefacts essential for life. Invented and used since prehistoric times the clay jar, customary in the kitchen, has also received magic and religious significances. Over time, it was worldwide used on the three main events of a human life: the birth, the baptism, the funeral.

În istoria omenirii borcanul de lut a fost unul dintre acele artefacte esențiale pentru viață. Inventat și folosit încă din timpuri preistorice borcanul de lut, obișnuit în bucătărie, a primit și semnificații magice și religioase. De-a lungul timpului, a fost folosit în întreaga lume la cele trei evenimente principale ale unei vieți umane: nașterea, botezul, înmormântarea.
