I have posted a list of supplies needed as well as the name of each of the 50 projects at the bottom of this review.
Most annoying of all this books lacks templates for the many detailed drawing activities and a lists of supplies necessary for each activity. You are forced to read through the very small print of each activity to see the supplies that are needed. Also the skill level required for each project is completely beyond most primary school age children. You will do most of the preparation and work yourself while your child watches or becomes bored and wanders away 🙂 As parent/supervisor you will need to have proficient drawing skills, glue, cutting and pasting skills and as well as being comfortable painting in different mediums like water color and poster paint. You will also need a high proficiency at laying down loose glitter on top of detailed glue work.
My 5 year old girl gave up on trying to make her first project in the book because this particular activity involved spreading a thin layer of glue over delicate tissue paper on top of plastic wrap and then laying down colored strings "randomly" so it formed wavy squares, then letting it dry then putting down another layer of glue on tissue paper…sigh…and then sprinkling it with glitter. We never made to the glitter application. This is typical of each activity in the book.
